Gheorghe Chițu House

The Gheorghe Chițu House was built at the beginning of the 19th century and is the building where Gheorghe Chiţu used to live.

Gheorghe Chiţu (born August 24, 1828, Ologa, Romanați County - died October 24, 1897, Mirila, Romanați County), politician and jurist, served as member of the Parliament for several terms, minister, mayor of Craiova between 1862 - 1864, full member of the Romanian Academy, contributor to Traian's Column, headed by B.P. Hașdeu.
