Giurgița Small Museum

The museum site is located inside the Cultural House and was inaugurated on 01.04.2016.
It consists of an exhibition of photographs of local people and customs, an ethnographic exhibition with traditional costumes, wooden objects representing the occupation of the inhabitants in the past: loom, spinning wheel, cotton gin, wrap reel, spindles, rural kitchen items: table and three-legged chairs, bowls, wooden spoons, mugs. Also in the museum there is a room corner with a bed with straw mattress, pillows, woven carpets, wardrobe, dowry box, lamps, seams, scarves, towels, dolls in traditional costumes.
The Giurgiţa Cultural House bears the name of Nicolae Veleanu. He was named by the Ministry of Culture a "Human Living Treasure".
