Summer is getting closer and closer, and outdoor places are very popular in our free time. In addition to the joy of resting in the shade of trees, you also have the pleasure of exercising outdoors and enjoying the landscapes of our county. We give you some suggestions for places to recharge your batteries but be careful: you may become addicted!
Walks through the county's forests
The village of Palilula in the commune of Bucovăț is one of rare beauty, and it is a place from which you may not want to leave. Located in the valley of the Oborului Stream, it is the ideal place for a walk through the forest or for a picnic, while admiring the animals grazing or stopped on their way in order to rest. Also, around the Jiu River, but also on the banks of the Danube, in the communes in the south of the county, there are beautiful places that offer a unique view. A visit to the Cernătești and Izvoranu-Geblescu towers
The two Dolj towers in the communes of Cernătești and Brabova, transformed into sections of the Oltenia Museum thanks to the efforts of the Dolj County Council and museographers, can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday and will tell you many stories! Both towers are located in beautiful areas, with kind and welcoming people, so if you come to them, you will definitely have a complete experience.
