#CraiovaIsPoetry. Urban Poetry enlivens the city with lyrics and music

What could be more beautiful than a cool evening spent outdoors, in the company of music and lyrics?

Probably this is what the people from the “Traian Demetrescu” House of Culture thought, when they set up the Urban Poetry project, which started a few weeks ago. A combination of two arts can only lead to something extremely beautiful, and when everything happens in beautiful settings in the city, everything seems to be a story.

What is Urban Poetry?

Music and poetry combined with meaning so that it takes you on a journey that you will not forget too soon, in unconventional spaces in the city.

Who is Urban Poetry?

Actors and musicians who break pieces of their soul and put them at the feet of all those who want to watch and listen to them.

Why is Urban Poetry?

Well, you have to answer this question yourself, after you have seen and heard what is happening.

The first edition of Urban Poetry has already taken place, and the second will take place in the coming days, to the music and lyrics of Fernando Pessoa. They will be recited by Darko, accompanied by the instruments of David Poker and Eugen Curelici.

So, welcome to poetry, in Craiova, on August 12 in the “Nicolae Romanescu” Park, on August 13 in the “Frații Buzești” Square, and on August 14 on the esplanade of the “Marin Sorescu” National Theater, from 21:00.

It is important to note that access to events is free within the available seats, in compliance, of course, with current safety regulations.

The "Traian Demetrescu" House of Culture has a lot of interesting projects in progress during this period, among which we mention the open-air film evenings or the International Stone Sculpture Symposium "Brâncuși Roads", which already started on August 9 in the Youth Park and will give birth to another series of sculptures that will remain here, in Craiova, to beautify public spaces.
