Wonderful destinations from Craiova International Airport

Summer (and not only) is full of surprises at Craiova International Airport! No less than ten #Dreamy destinations, operated by Wizz Air, are at your disposal, for a city break or, why not, for a "full option" vacation. We present below, each of them, with some important objectives not to be missed in each city-destination.

Paris – Beauvais

From the famous Eiffel Tower to the Louvre Museum and the French cuisine that makes your mouth water, Paris is a city that will surely charm you. If you're lucky, you can catch a show at the Moulin Rouge or, why not, if you have children with you, a visit to Disneyland Paris will create them a memory for a lifetime.

Cologne

Cologne is one of the most effervescent and charming cities in Germany, and if you haven't visited it yet, well, you should. There is a lot to see there, from Cologne Dome to the Chocolate Museum. You can also watch a FC Cologne match or taste their delicious beer, Kolsch, served in small, thin glasses so that it doesn't lose its flavor or coldness. 😊

Rome – Ciampino

"On An Evening in Roma", said the singer Dean Martin, you can do a lot of things, including enjoying a special holiday for two. Everything around is made to seem to entice you, whether we're talking about Italian wines or special dishes. Let's not forget the Vatican, a must-see if you arrive in Rome.

Bologna

What could be more beautiful than eating an honest portion of spaghetti bolognese right where they came from? Maybe visit Piazza Maggiore or see the leaning towers of Bologna. Even the Museum of Archeology in Bologna would be cool to reach or even the National Gallery in the city. Whatever you choose, we believe that everything will go smoothly.

Bergamo

There are many things and places to see and visit in Bergamo, but we will limit ourselves to just a few of them. We have the Le Cornelle Wildlife Park, a 100,000 square meter settlement that embodies a zoo and an adventure park, we have the Cathedral of Bergamo, or the Cathedral of Sant’Allessandro, one of the most beautiful and significant architectural landmarks in the city. We also tell you, of course, about Citta Alta, Piazza Vecchia, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore or the Colleoni Chapel.

Brussels - Charleroi

One of the most beautiful capitals in Europe is waiting for you with open arms to taste its delicious and versatile dishes, its all kinds of cold beers or to get to know its ancient architecture and people. We start with Grand Place, in the city center, we continue with the Old England building, which houses a museum with over 2,000 musical instruments, we go to Notre Dame du Sablon, the Gothic cathedral built in the 14th century, we laugh a little at Manneken Pis, and then we choose from the multitude of pubs and bodegas, newer and older, where we can recharge our batteries for the rest of the following visits. And that's just the beginning.

London - Luton

For those who appreciate the weather - let's say - less warm, old pubs, impressive buildings or alternative culture, we have it all in London. Be sure to go to the center of multiculturalism or the underground, in Camden Town, visit Westminster Abbey, Big Ben or Alexandra Palace for a taste of English architecture and walk a lot, but a lot on foot, because you certainly have something to see in the capital of Great Britain!

Birmingham

The second largest city after London in the UK respects its status and has a reason. Just a few reasons: the National Motorcycle Museum, the National Aquatic Life Center, a Shakespeare Express steam train tour, Sheldon Park, Saint Phillips Cathedral or the city Philharmonic.

Madrid

Madrid, oh, Madrid, what beautiful stories have been written here! The capital of Spain is home to wonderful monuments and places to see and visit, including Retiro Park, the Royal Palace, Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, a temple of football, the National Museum of Archeology, Mercado San Miguel and we can not forget an authentic spectacle of flamenco and a glass of sangria, all by candlelight.

Barcelona

Last but not least, from Craiova Airport you can go to Barcelona. What should not be missing from your itinerary? La Sagrada Familia Cathedral, a mastodon of architecture, Antoni Gaudi's dream that is still being worked on after 140 years from the beginning, the sunny beaches of Barcelona, the Camp Nou stadium, Fundacio Joan Miro, named after an artist who brought surrealism to another level and, of course, as at any destination that is respected, there can be no lack of a "tour" of local cuisine.

We hope that at least we have made you want to do some research and choose the one that suits you best. For tickets, consult the website of Craiova International Airport or Wizz Air.
