This year, for the 27th time, the name of Maria Tănase, whose birth is 110 years old, will be proudly spoken again in Craiova, on the occasion of the Festival-Competition named after the "master bird of Romanian music".

Therefore, those who love soul music, purely Romanian, the combination of uplifting voices and skilful orchestras, are expected between October 23 and 27 at the "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre, at the "Maria Tănase" National Festival-Competition of Romanian Popular Song Performers, which marks, this year, also 54 years since the first edition.
