Only one month separates us from the Jurassic Edition of Pedală în Bănie, the first and most important traditional sporting event in our county. This year, as in 2025, the event will take place on the hills of Podari commune, combining sport with a passion for nature, in a happening that gathers more and more interest with each passing edition.
This year's edition promises an exciting experience for participants, the "Jurassic" theme symbolizing the wild power of the dinosaur era and the untamed spirit of each participant. Inspired by dinosaurs and prehistoric tribes, the routes challenge participants to test their strength, speed and endurance.
The event also promotes sustainability and team spirit, and respect for nature is put first. The organizers also offer special activities such as volunteer programs and greening actions, organized before and after the event, demonstrating social commitment and care for the environment.
Here are the races that you can still register for on the official website, under the slogan "Only the strongest survive!":
- T-Rex Race (43 km MTB & E-Bike) – The ultimate route of strength and endurance;
- Mammoth Race (24 km MTB) – The perfect balance between power and speed;
- Baby Dino Race (3 km MTB) – The first steps towards adventure;
- Smilodon Race (24 km Trail Run) – Tough and demanding route, for strong and resistant runners;
- Velociraptor Race (14 km Trail Run) – Fast and explosive, for those who run with a hunter's instinct;
- Tribes Race (6×1.53 km Trail Run Relay) – Team, tactics and fight for victory, step by step;
- Baby Dino Race (600 m Trail Run) – The first steps in competition, full of energy and enthusiasm
With a total distance of 100 km, the trails test the endurance of the participants for 3-6 hours/day, offering them an authentic adventure in nature. In addition to MTB and trail runs, the organizers also prepare film screenings or concerts, so accept the challenge and come experience the magic of sport and the beauty of wild nature
